Flanders delineated: or, a view of the Austrian and French Netherlands. Containing A brief Description of all the strong Towns, Forts, Castles, &c. in those Provinces, with an Account of the remarkable Sieges they have sustain'd, and the Battles that have been fought in their Neighbourhood. To which is prefix'd, by way of introduction, a summary of the history of the low countries in general. By an officer of the allied army now in Flanders. And at the end is added, by another hand, a concise account of Bavaria, Bohemiæ, Moravia, and Austria; as also of Piedmont, and other Parts of Italy; Introduc'd by a short History of the Pragmatic Sanction, which has given Rise to the War in Germany. The Whole being a compleat Survey of the Seat of the present War in Europe, and of great Use to all who are willing to have a clear Idea of the Operations of the several Armies. Illustrated with maps of the several Countries treated of, a plan of a Fortified Town, and a View of the Instruments used in Fortification and Gunnery. Together with a Military Dictionary.
